Technique Tuesday Blog Hop - May 2025 - One Layer Card

Time for another Technique Tuesday Blog Hop. This month our theme is "One Layer Cards". I don't make One Layer Card very often and I find them hard to make, but I absolutely love how this one turned out! So easy with the new Peaceful View Stamp Set.

Lots of technique in this card too! I used my Sponge Daubers to apply the ink directly to the stamp and also applied colour using my Stampin' Write Markers! Don't you love it! If you haven't played with your sponge daubers and Markers for a while, it's time to give them some love!

Instructions

Cut Thick Basic White cardstock 4 1/4" x 11" and score at 5 1/2". Fold and burnish on scoreline using Bone Folder to form card base.
Apply ink to stamp using Sponge Daubers. I used Garden Green and Granny Apple Green for the leaves and Pecan Pie and Early Espresso for the tree trunk and branches.
Apply Early Espresso Stampin' Write Marker to the fence and Old Olive to some of the plants behind the fence.
"Huff" on the inked up stamp before stamping on the Thick Basic White cardstock.
Colour the sentiment using the Stampin' Write Markers - alternating letters Early Espresso and Old Olive.
"Huff" on inked up sentiment and stamp on card base.
Repeat for sentiment on inside - top and bottom row are Early Espresso and middle row is Old Olive
Adhere embellishments.
