Inspire, Create, Share Blog Hop - It's a Guy Thing - June 2025

Today I'm sharing a card in the Inspire, Create, Share Blog Hop. Our theme this month is "It's a Guy Thing"!

The Sunrise Sailing Stamp Set is perfect for masculine cards. There is a bundle option as well with a Hybrid Embossing folder and Dies, but today I combined the stamp set with the Everyday Arches Dies and the Birchwood Embossing Folder. I thought the embossing folder looked like waves and clouds when sideways.

I love how this card turned out! My husband and I have a sailboat for about 14 years and sailed around the Gulf Islands in British Columbia. Those days on the boat are some of my fondest memories! Here's a picture of our boat with the spinaker up!

It looks a little bit like the boat on my card!

Instructions

Cut Secret Sea cardstock 5 1/2" x 8 1/2" and score at 4 1/4". Fold and burnish on scoreline using Bone Folder to form card base.
Cut Secret Sea cardstock 4" x 5 1/4" and emboss using the Birchwood embossing folder so that the embossed stripes go side ways.
Mix a couple of drops of White Craft ink with water and splatter on the embossed cardstock. Let dry.
Adhere to card base.
Cut out the 3rd largest arch using die from Basic White cardstock
Stamp sentiment on bottom using Secret Sea ink.
Stamp sailboat using Secret Sea ink
Stamp sails using Real Red ink.
Blend some Secret Sea ink over sailboat lightly using Blending Brush.
Stamp 2 birds using Secret Sea
Adhere to card base using Dimensionals.
Adhere Secret Sea Flat Pearls
Cut Basic White cardstock 4" x 5 1/4"
Stamp waves on bottom of Basic White cardstock using Secret Sea ink
Adhere to the inside of the card.
