Technique Tuesday Blog Hop - January 2026

Time for another Technique Tuesday Blog Hop.  This month it is Bloggers Choice - that means I can choose the technique to share!  My card today uses Adhesive Foam Sheets to pop up a die cut image.

I love to pop up sentiments and stamped images and sometimes die cuts are so delicate and fine it's hard to pop them up using our Dimensionals or even Mini Dimensionals.  Adhesive Foam Sheets to the rescue!  Check out this pretty card I made using the Friendly Foliage Bundle in Old Olive and Secret Sea.

Instructions

  1. Cut Secret Sea cardstock 4 1/4" x 11" and score at 5 1/2".  Fold and burnish on scoreline using Bone Folder to form card base.
  2. Cut Old Olive cardstock 3 3/4" x 5"
  3. Emboss using the Beautiful Patterns Embossing Folder.
  4. Wrap Old Olive Linen Thread around cardstock and tie a bow on the left side.
  5. Adhere to card base.
  6. Cut Basic White cardstock 3 1/2" x 4"
  7. Stamp image on Basic White cardstock using Secret Sea ink
  8. Cut out image using Dies.
  9. Cut Vellum cardstock 3 1/2" x 4"
  10. Cut out solid foliage image using Die.
  11. Turn vellum die cut upside down so sprigs are pointing to the bottom and adhere the stamped die cut image to it aligning edges.
  12. Adhere to the card base using Mini Dimensionals - make sure you apply only where they are hidden as the adhesive may show through the Vellum.
  13. Cut Basic White cardstock 1/2" x 2"
  14. Stamp sentiment using Old Olive ink.
  15. Adhere to the card base.
  16. Adhere Secret Sea embellishments.
  17. Cut Basic White cardstock 4" x 5 1/4"
  18. Stamp sprig twice in bottom right corner (full strength and second generation) using Old Olive ink.
  19. Adhere to the inside of the card.
