It's time for another Technique Tuesday Blog Hop. This month we're focusing on the Take Your Pick Tool! This is my must have tool next to my Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine. I have about 5 of these - on my desk and next to my Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine. I used it for everything from getting the little bits out of die cuts to picking up embellishments to getting Mini Dimensionals off of the sheet!

For my card, I used the Expressions in Ink Product Suite along with Magenta Madness. All of the 2020-2022 In Colors retire as of May 3rd which is always sad, but Stampin' Up! has introduced some amazing new In Colors for you - Parakeet Party, Sweet Sorbet, Starry Sky, Orchid Oasis, and Tahitian Tide. Wow, right!

Here's the pretty card I created in Magenta Madness featuring Expressions in Ink. I created this card as part of Sketch Challenge #60. Here's the sketch it was based on.

Now, here's the card I created.

Instructions

Cut Magenta Madness card stock 4 1/4" x 11" and score at 5 1/2". Fold on score line to form card base.
Cut Basic White card stock 4" x 5 1/4" and emboss using Tasteful Textile Embossing Folder
Adhere to card base.
Cut Gold Foil 2 1/2" x 5"
Cut Designer Series Paper 2 1/4" x 4 3/4"
Adhere to card base about 1/8" from to corner
Cut Gold Foil 2 1/4" x 3 1/2"
Cut Designer Series Paper 2" x 3 1/4"
Adhere to card base about 1" from top and 1/8" from right edge of card base.
Cut Magenta Madness cardstock 1" x 4"
Cut out Basic White card stock 3/4" x 3 3/4"
Stamp sentiment on Basic White card stock using Magenta Madness ink.
Stamp flower images around sentiment using Magenta Madness ink.
Adhere to Magenta Madness card stock using Dimensionals.
Adhere to card base using Dimensionals.
Punch out 2 small boughs and 1 large bough from Gold Foil using Bough Punch
Adhere under sentiment layer using Glue Dots.
Adhere Gilded Gems
Cut Basic White card stock 4" x 5 1/4'
Stamp flowers in bottom right corner using Magenta Madness ink
Adhere to inside of card.

Tutorial Bundle for the Ukraine

In response to the ongoing crisis, the Creativity Abounds Team has decided to create a Ukraine Fundraising Card Making Tutorial Bundle.

Who Are we?

The Creativity Abounds Design Team is a group of 13 Independent Stampin’ Up! demonstrators from around the world. We come together every month to create a Tutorial Bundle, hold a blog hop and also host regular online Stamp Camps.

All 13 members of the Creativity Abounds Design Team quickly expressed their interest in helping to bring together this special, additional Tutorial Bundle. As this newsletter is sent, work is underway around the world to get cards designed and tutorials written and compiled.

We didn’t want to wait to start raising money though, because this is timely and help is needed now. Therefore the bundle is up for sale now. You can start to order and pay for yours and the tutorial will follow as quickly as we can bring it together. We envision it will be with you by the week beginning 21st March!

The theme for the projects is blue/yellow. I am excited to see what ideas everyone comes up with. I know they are all going to inspire you in your card making – and of course you will be able to change the colour of the projects to suit other occasions.

All the proceeds from the sale of these tutorials will be donated to the International Committee of the Red Cross as a contribution from the crafting community to the work they are carrying out with the people of Ukraine.

I love to use my Blending Brushes to create beautiful backgrounds for cards. I created this background using Blushing Bride, Fresh Freesia and Gorgeous Grape. I love my Blending Brushes for all sorts of techniques, but in particular they are amazing to create a background.

Here's the card I created with the Daisy Garden Stamp Set. You can check out my Video on creating this background. You will find that the Stamparatus works really well to stamp the large background image - it is much easier to stamp than with the large block.

It's time for another Technique Tuesday Blog Hop. This month we're focusing on Mini Cards! I have such fun making 3"x3" cards and today I've created a set to show off some of the In Colors that will be retiring at the end of April! It will be so sad to see them go! The Acetate Gift Boxes are perfect to hold the Mini Cards and give them away as a gift. Add a belly band and you're all set!

Instructions

Cut Basic White card stock 3" x 6" and score at 3". Fold on score line to create card base.
Use the Decorative Masks with your Blending Brushes to add colour - I used Misty Moonlight, Cinnamon Cider, Bumblebee and Magenta Madness.
Cut 4 pieces of coordinating card stock 1 1/8" x 2 1/8"
Cut 4 pieces of Layering Vellum 1" x 2"
Stamp sentiments on Vellum using StazOn Ink
Adhere to card stock
Adhere to Mini Cards using Dimensionals.
Adhere Iridescent Rhinestones.
For Belly Band, cut Misty Moonlight card stock 1 1/4" x 8 1/2".
Wrap around Acetate Box and adhere
Cut Designer Series Paper 1" x 8 1/4"
Adhere to Misty Moonlight Belly Band
