Festive Friday #0089 - National Lighthouse Day

It's time for another Festive Friday Challenge!  Every second Friday we post a challenge for you with a specific theme and an Inspo List of 10 items to choose from to create your project.  We encourage you to create a project based on the theme and Inspo List and then post it using at least 3 items from the inspiration list.

This week’s challenge #FF0089 - National Lighthouse Day

Your goal is to simply use three or more items from the inspiration list on your project and link up! #festivefridaychallenge  At Festive Friday, you do not need to actually celebrate the occasion. I hope you’ll make a card, scrapbook page or 3-D project and join us. You don’t need a blog to enter Festive Friday. Check out this link on how you can play along with this challenge. If you want help entering, please email me at stampinwithmelva@gmail.com and I’d be happy to help you!

For today's challenge I created a pretty card using the Sailing Home stamp set from the Annual Catalogue and used a lighthouse, blue and ink blending from the Inspiration List.

This is such an easy technique, especially with the amazing Blending Brushes.

Instructions
  1. Cut Night of Navy cardstock 5 1/2" x 8 1/2" and fold in half to form card base.
  2. Cut Smoky Slate cardstock 4" x 5 1/4" and adhere to card base using Stampin' Seal.
  3. Cut Basic White cardstock 3 3/4" x 5"
  4. Stamp lighthouse using Versamark and sprinkle White Embossing Powder over image.  Shake off excess.  Heat to melt.
  5. Once cool, use Blending Brush to add Smoky Slate ink over the area of the light house.
  6. Stamp birds using Smoky Slate ink.
  7. Cut Basic White cardstock 1/2" x 3 1/2"
  8. Stamp sentiment using Night of Navy ink
  9. Punch end using Banner Take a Pick Punch
  10. Cut Night of Navy cardstock 3/4" x 3 3/4"
  11. Punch end using Banner Take a Pick Punch
  12. Adhere stamped sentiment piece to the Night of Navy piece using Stampin' Seal.
  13. Adhere to card base about 2 3/4" from bottom using Dimensionals.

All of the supplies for this project can be found at the bottom of this post.
