Stamping With Friends Blog Hop - One Sheet Wonder

Time for a Stamping With Friends Blog Hop!  The theme today is "One Sheet Wonder".  My favourite One Sheet Wonder is to stamp an entire sheet of cardstock with images across the centre horizontally and vertically and then cut that piece into 4.

I'm sure there is a name for this One Sheet Wonder technique, but I don't know what it is!  LOL!  What ever the name, it's quick and easy and I always love the results.

Check out my cards using the new Impressions Abloom Stamp Set that will be released on May 6th!  I love how it turned out in Darling Duckling, Lost Lagoon and Secret Sea.

Instructions

  1. Score a 8 1/2" x 11"  sheet of Basic White cardstock at 4 1/4" and then turn 90 degrees and score again at 5 1/2".  These are your guides for stamping.
  2. Stamp flowers in Darling Ducking ink stamped off along the score lines - some on the line, some to the right and left of the line.  Stamp the detail of the flower using Darling Duckling ink full strength.
  3. Fill in some of the gaps by stamping the medium flower using Secret Sea stamped off - stamp detail using Secret Sea full strength.
  4. Stamp smaller flower in Darling Duckling ink and detail in Secret Sea ink.
  5. Stamp leaves using Lost Lagoon.
  6. Cut the cardstock into 4 pieces - cut at 4 1/4" along short side and then cut those pieces at 5 1/2"
  7. Trim the pieces to 3 3/4" x 5"
  8. Fill in any open areas by stamping additional images.
  9. Stamp centres of flowers using Darling Duckling ink
  10. Turn the pieces to decide which way you want it to go on your card
  11. Stamp sentiment using Secret Sea
  12. Cut 2 pieces of Darling Duckling cardstock 4" x 5 1/4" and 2 pieces of Secret Sea 4" x 5 1/4"
  13. Adhere the stamped cardstockto the Darling Duckling and Secret Sea cardstock
  14. Cut 2 Darling Ducking card bases 5 1/2" x 8 1/2" and 2 Secret Sea card bases 5 1/2" x 8 1/2"
  15. Adhere the stamped cardstock to the card base which has opposite colour (e.g. Secret Sea card base with Darling Duckling layer on stamped image).
  16. Adhere embellishments to front of card
  17. Cut 4 pieces of Basic White cardstock 4" x 5 1/4"
  18. Stamp flower in bottom right corner using Darling Duckling ink and stamp centre of flower using Secret Sea ink
  19. Adhere to the inside of the card.
