Festive Friday Challenge #191 - National Beach Day

It's time for another Festive Friday Challenge! Every second Friday we post a challenge for you with a specific theme and an Inspo List of 10 items to choose from to create your project. We encourage you to create a project based on the theme and Inspo List and then post it using at least 3 items from the inspiration list.

Your goal is to simply use three or more items from the inspiration list on your project and link up! #festivefridaychallenge At Festive Friday, you do not need to actually celebrate the occasion. I hope you’ll make a card, scrapbook page or 3-D project and join us. You don’t need a blog to enter Festive Friday. Check out this link on how you can play along with this challenge. This week’s challenge FF # 191 - National Beach Day

I created a Faux Step card using the Sunrise Sailing Bundle - a Stampin' Up!® Online Exclusive. This is one of my favourite fancy folds and so easy to make. This card feels so peaceful to me and brings back so many memories of sailing on the Salish Sea in British Columbia.

I chose shades of blue, pearls and a relax sentiment from the Inspo List. What will you choose?

Wouldn't you love to be relaxing on the water in a boat like this!

Instructions

Cut Secret Sea cardstock 5 1/2" x 8 1/2" and score at 1", 2" and 5 1/4". Fold on scorelines and burnish using a Bone Folder in mountain, valley, mountain configuration. (Main card base)
Cut Secret Sea cardstock 3 1/2" x 8 1/2" and score at 4 1/4". Fold on scoreline and burnish with a Bone Folder. (Step card)
Die cut waves from Cloud Cover cardstock using dies.
Adhere to the first flap of the main card base.
Cut Cloud Cover cardtock 3 1/4" x 4"
Emboss using Sailing embossing Folder
Adhere to the Step card.
Adhere the Step card to the Main card base on the first flap on the front and to the back of the main card base.
Stamp sail boat on Basic White cardstock using Secret Sea ink.
Stamp sails and hull using Cloud Cover ink
Cut and emboss using Embossing Folder and Die.
Adhere to the card base.
Cut out 2 clouds from Basic White cardstock using Dies.
Adhere to the card base using Dimensionals - cut off excess
Stamp "ahoy" and "relax & enjoy" on Basic White cardstock using Secret Sea ink
Cut out using Paper Snips
Adhere "ahoy" to one of the clouds
Cut "relax & enjoy" into the parts.
Adhere to card base using Dimensionals
Adhere pearls
Cut Basic White cardstock 3" x 5 1/4"
Stamp waves on bottom of Basic White cardstock using Secret Sea ink
Adhere to the inside of the card.
