Technique Tuesday Blog Hop - August 2025 - Background Technique

Time for another Technique Tuesday Blog Hop. This month our theme is "Background Techniques". I had fun making this Christmas card using the Jolly Holly Bundle - an Online Exclusive from Stampin' Up!®.

It was easy to cut out 10-12 "joy" die cuts and adhere them to a piece of cardstock. Such a nice, easy way to create a card.

Instructions

Cut Real Red cardstock 5 1/2" x 8 1/2" and score at 4 1/4". Fold and burnish on on scoreline using Bone Folder to form card base.
Cut Basic White cardstock 4" x 5 1/4"
Cut out 10-12 "joy" die cuts
Adhere to Basic White cardstock randomly and trim off excess
Adhere to the card base.
Wrap twine around fingers 2-3 times and pinch in the middle
Adhere to the card base
Cut Real Red cardstock 3/4" x 4"
Cut Basic White cardstock 5/8" x 4"
Stamp "Merry" and "Christmas" using Real Red ink.
Adhere to the Real Red cardstock
Adhere to the card base using Dimensionals
Adhere peppermint embellishments
Cut Basic White cardstock 4" x 5 1/4"
Stamp sentiment on Basic White cardstock using Real Red ink
Adhere to the inside of the card.
