Playful Pets for the Dog Lover

Today I'm sharing another card featuring the Playful Pets Suite!  It is so adorable!  Can you tell I love the combination of Real Red and Basic Black?  I shared a card on Sunday that used the same colours.  You can check out that card as well as my kitty card here:
Here's today's card.


Aren't these trinkets cute!  My dog has the same trinket on her collar - with her name and phone number on it.

Instructions

  1. Cut Real Red cardstock 4 1/4" x 11" and fold in half to form card base.
  2. Cut Designer Series Paper 2 1/4" x 4" and adhere to card base approximately 1/8" from top and sides using Stampin' Seal.
  3. Cut Designer Series Paper 3" x 4" and adhere to card base approximately 1/8" from top and sides using Stampin' Seal.
  4. Cut Real Red cardstock 1/2" x 4" and adhere over seam using Stampin' Seal.
  5. Wrap twine around Real Red strip and adhere using Stampin' Seal on the left hand side of card front.
  6. Stamp dog using Tuxedo Black Memento Ink on Whisper White cardstock.  
  7. Colour using Stampin' Blends - Dark and Light Smoky Slate and Light Flirty Flamingo.
  8. Colour nose using Basic Black Classic Stampin' Marker
  9. Tie a piece of twine around neck. Insert trinket and tie in a bow.
  10. Adhere to card base covering the seam of the twine using Dimensionals.
  11. Stamp sentiment on a scrap of Whisper White cardstock using Tuxedo Black Memento Ink.
  12. Punch out using Timeless Label Punch
  13. Punch second label out from Real Red cardstock.  Cut in half and adhere to the back of sentiment label using Stampin' Seal.
  14. Adhere to card base using Dimensionals.

    Playful Pets

    Today I'm sharing another card I made using the Playful Pets Suite of Products!  This time it's a card for cat lovers!  This suite of products is so much fun!   I shared my card for dog lovers on my Sunday blog post.  You can check it out here.


    Isn't she precious!  

    Instructions

    1. Cut Basic Gray cardstock 5 1/2" x 8 1/2" and fold in half to form card base.
    2. Cut Flirty Flamingo cardstock 4" x 5 1/4"
    3. Cut Designer Series Paper 1 1/2" x 3 3/4".  Adhere to the top of the Flirty Flamingo cardstock using Stampin' Seal.
    4. Cut a second pattern of Designer Series Paper 2 1/2" x 3 3/4" and adhere to the top of the Flirty Flamingo cardstock using Stampin' Seal.
    5. Adhere to the card base using Stampin' Seal.
    6. Cut Flirty Flamingo cardstock 1/2" x 4".  Wrap ribbon around and tie a bow on the right hand side.
    7. Adhere to the card base over top of the seam of the Designer Series Paper pieces using Stampin' Seal.
    8. Stamp cat on a piece of Whisper White cardstock.  Colour using Dark and Light Smoky Slate Stampin' Blends and Light Flirty Flamingo Stampin' Blend for the ears.  Cut out using Die.
    9. Adhere to the left hand side over the ribbon using Dimensionals.
    10. Stamp sentiment using Tuxedo Black Memento Ink and cut out using your Paper Snips.  Adhere to a piece of Basic Gray cardstock and cut out using your Paper Snips.
    11. Adhere to the card base using Dimensionals.

    Forever Fern - Kylie's International Highlights Blog Hop

    I'm excited to participate again in Kylie's Monthly International Blog Highlights!  I participated last year and was so excited to have been one of the top ten winners.  You can check out last months' card as well as my card for the Winners Blog.

    As always the theme is - Thank you.  What better time than now,  to send out a thank you cards.


    I love the Forever Fern Bundle and Forever Greenery Designer Series Paper.  My card is a Gate Fold card with a beautiful belly band to hold it closed. 





    Instructions

    1. Cut Shaded Spruce cardstock 5 1/2" x 8 1/2" and score at 2 1/8" and 6 3/8".  Fold on the score lines to form card base.
    2. Cut 2 pieces of Designer Series Paper 2" x 5 3/8".  Adhere to the left and right hand side of card base using Stampin' Seal.
    3. Cut Whisper White cardstock 4" x 5 1/4".
    4. Stamp sentiment using Shaded Spruce ink.
    5. Stamp leaves in bottom right corner using Shaded Spruce and Pear Pizzazz (both stamped off once).
    6. Adhere to the inside of the card using Stampin' Seal.
    7. Cut Shaded Spruce cardstock 3/4" x 9 1/2".  Wrap around card base and adhere ends together in middle of front of card using Stampin' Seal.  Trim off excess.  TIP: You don't want to have the band too tight as it will make it hard to get on and off of the card.  
    8. Colour the white side of leaves on the Forever gold Laser-cut Specialty Paper - I used the wreath shape with leaves around edges.  I coloured leaves using Stampin' Blends Light and Dark Just Jade and Light Old Olive.
    9. Adhere some Gold leaves of different shapes and sizes to the front of the coloured leaves using Stampin' Seal.
    10. Adhere to band using Dimensionals.
    11. Cut out 2 1/8" Circle from Shaded Spruce cardstock from Layering Circles Dies
    12. Cut out 1 7/8" Circle from Whisper White cardstock using Layering Circles Dies
    13. Stamp leaves on Whisper White circle using Just Jade and Pear Pizzazz ink (both stamped off once).
    14. Cut out "Thanks" sentiment from Shaded Spruce cardstock and Gold Foil Sheet using Well Written Dies.
    15. Adhere Shaded Spruce cut out to Gold Foil cut out piece - just slightly below top of Gold using Multipurpose Liquid Glue.  You just need small dots of glue around the letters.
    16. Adhere to Whisper White circle using Multipurpose Liquid Glue.
    17. Adhere to Shaded Spruce circle using Stampin' Seal.
    18. Adhere to band using Dimensionals.

    Pampered Pets

    Today's card features the most adorable new bundle in the Annual Catalogue - Pampered Pets!  I just fell in love with this suite of products when I saw it - pet lover or not, how could you not find these animals adorable.  Doesn't this dog look like the dog in Lady and the Tramp!  Maybe I'm showing my age with this movie!


        Isn't he just so happy!  Makes me smile!  

    Don't you love the little trinkets - they come in hearts and bones!

    I created a frame for the sentiment using the Layering Squares Dies and Foam Adhesive Strips


    Instructions

    1. Cut Real Red cardstock 5 1/2" x 8 1/2" and score at 2 1/8" x 4 1/4".  Fold in half at 4 1/4 and then fold on the other score line back towards the centre fold.
    2. Cut Designer Series Paper 1 7/8" x 5 1/4".  Tie a bow around bottom using ribbon.  Adhere to front fold using Stampin' Seal.
    3. Cut Whisper White cardstock 2 7/8" square.
    4. Cut Designer Series Paper using 2 7/8" square for outside and 2 3/8" for inside.  You can cut both outside and inside at the same time to form the frame.
    5. Adhere foam adhesive strips to edge of frame and adhere this piece to the Whisper White square.
    6. Stamp sentiment using Tuxedo Black Memento Ink.
    7. Stamp hearts using Real Red ink.
    8. Adhere to card base using Stampin' Seal.  Make sure you only adhere the left hand side of the frame to the card base.
    9. Cut out dog from the Designer Series Paper using Die.
    10. Tie a piece of twin around neck of dog and attached trinket.
    11. Adhere to frame using Dimensionals - you will have to double the Dimensional to make them the right height!
    12. Cut a piece of Whisper White cardstock 4" x 5 1/4".
    13. Stamp sentiment in Real Red Ink.
    14. Adhere to the inside of the card using Stampin' Seal.
    15. Cut out paws from Basic Black cardstock and adhere to the bottom right of card using Multipurpose Liquid Glue.

    Birds and Branches

    Today I'm sharing another card I designed using the Birds and Branches Bundle.  For this card I've used on of the other bird dies include in the bundle - this one cuts out an adorable bird outline.  I actually cut off the feet - I wanted him to rest on the branch and I added a Silver Metallic Pearl for the eye.  

    Such a pretty card in Calypso Coral and Smoky Slate!





    Instructions

    1. Cut Calypso Coral cardstock 5 1/2" x 8 1/2" and fold in half to form card base.
    2. Cut Smoky Slate 4" x 5 1/4" and adhere to card base using Stampin' Seal.
    3.  Cut Whisper White cardstock 3 3/4" x 5"
    4. Cut out branch from Smoky Slate cardstock and adhere to the background using Multipurpose Liquid Glue
    5. Stamp branches in background using Smoky Slate ink.
    6. Stamp sentiment below branch using Calypso Coral ink - I used a sentiment from the Forever Fern stamp set.
    7. From a scrap of Calypso Coral cardstock, cut out bird - you can cut off the legs or leave them on.  Adhere to branch using Dimensionals.  Add a Silver Metallic Pearl for the eye.
    8. Stamp 4 flowers using Calypso Coral ink and cut out using die.
    9. Adhere to card base using Dimensionals.
    10. Adhere Whisper White piece to card base using Stampin' Seal.
    11. Adhere Silver Metallic Pearls to the centre of each flower.
